A tailored tour picking you up from
your Inverness Hotel, the airport or station,
and building in a superb three hour tour to find Red Deer during the "bachelor
party season"!
There are no tourist attractions on this tour, but we will drive down the side of Loch Ness en route to the deer.
The itinerary includes leaving Inverness, crossing the Caledonian Canal, driving down the side of Loch Ness, leaving the Great Glen via Glenurquhart, descending into Strath Glass where we head up a secret glen to find the deer.
Please note that the deer are only available at close range until about the end of May and as that month progresses they are increasingly difficult to find. We cannot guarantee sightings of deer, but if we don't see any you get a £25 refund.
The picture shown above was taken on the tour by ten year old passenger, Nelson Harris, at the beginning of March 2007. No telephoto lens was used and this is the entire picture. It has not been cropped! On that particular day we encountered more than a dozen beasts as close up as this one.
After the deer hunt we return to Inverness and on both legs of the trip we will give you an understanding of the areas natural history and wildlife.
Price: £110 for up to six passengers. Early September until the end of June only.
