H04 Half Day Eilean Donan Castle Tour from Inverness along Loch Ness and up Glen Shiel past Loch Cluanie - Six Hours

Eilean Donan Castle, the castle with the bridge

You are collected from your Inverness Hotel, B&B, the airport or station and we head along the side of Loch Ness stopping at various view points. In fact, you see more of the loch on this tour than you do on the dedicated coach tours to Loch Ness and Urquhart Castle.

At Invermoriston there is time time photograph the Telford Bridge and Saint Columba's Well before we head up Glen Moriston into Glen Shiel on the drive towards the Skye road.

You will see some of Scotland's most dramatic scenery including the Five Sisters of Kintail. The Five Sisters of Kintail from an Inverness Tour

En route to Eilean Donan we'll make a stop at the Roderick MacKenzie Monument (see pictures at bottom of page) and also the amazing footprints left by Finlay Munro in the early nineteenth century. Some fascinating and true folklore.

Eventually we arrive at one of Scotland's most photographed castles. Eilean Donan where time is provided for a visit. Note that the castle is not open in the winter, but is always worth seeing for a photograph.

We take a different route back to Inverness having experienced some of the best scenery Scotland has to offer.
