Although we cannot make any warranty as to the quality of the accommodation listed, we do listen to our passengers about places in which they have stayed and we will remove any that obtain a poor reputation.

The Scottish Tourist Board run a grading and classification scheme which can be used as a guide to quality. Five Stars being "World Class" for its category; four stars being "Excellent"; three stars being "Good"; two stars being "Above Average" and one star being "Acceptable". Being a five star tour we can attest to the amount of continual effort that has to go into maintaining a high grading.

However, the grading is within the classification. A five star hotel, for instance, has far more facilities to a five star B&B, but you may expect to pay several times more for the accommodation! Similarly a one star hostel will not normally provide as many facilities as a one star guest house, but it is likely to be much cheaper!

Obviously the better B&Bs and Guest Houses tend to fill up early even in the shoulder season, so don't delay making your booking.
