We will collect you from your hotel, station or airport and begin our journey to a collection of fine distilleries. We offer three main choices of Whisky Tour.
Speyside Malts are reached by journeying through the beautiful farmlands of the Moray Coast and the city of Elgin. The cathedral has been ruined since the sixteenth century Reformation of the church. There is time to visit the cathedral if one of the distillery visits can be omitted. Our usual Speyside Tour would include Glenlivet Distillery, Glenfiddich Distillery and either Macallan Distillery or Aberlour Distillery. There are many other distilleries in Speyside and you can customise with your guide once you have booked. You can also swap one of the distilleries for a visit to the Speyside Cooperage for an absolutely fascinating visit watching casks being constructed from scratch or repaired for further use. They also make some wonderful furniture from retired casks.
The Highland Malts we visit all lie north of Inverness, on the Black Isle and in scenic Easter Ross. Our usual Highland Tour would take in Glenord Distillery, Dalmore Distillery and Glenmorangie Distillery, and also offers a bit of time to see the historic Highland towns of Tain and Beauly. There are also one or two other distillery options if you have your own Highland favourites.
Our mixed Highland and Speyside Tour gives you the opportunity to compare the different regional styles of malt whisky available. It will take you through the lovely seaside town of Nairn and on to Forres to visit Benromach Distillery. The next visit is to Tomatin Distillery, and we finish at Glenord Distillery, having enjoyed a wide range of malt whiskies and breathtaking scenery.
These distilleries offer a choice of visit from a standard tour and tasting to a special visit with many tastings.
All of our options can be customised to accommodate other visitor attractions, mouth-watering lunch venues or visit a local castle.
Price: £295 for up to six or seven passengers for this nine hour tour.
